Algorithmic accountability and transparency in the digital single market

MEP Marietje Schaake organised this event in the European Parliament on the 7th of November 2016 in order to discuss which options the European Union has to improve the accountability and/or the transparency of the algorithms that underpin many business models and platforms in the digital single market. With the emergence of artificial intelligence, machine learning applications and robotics this question will only become more important in the future.
